This Data Retention Policy explains how The Grad Soc (“we”, “us”, “our”) manages the retention and deletion of personal data to comply with legal requirements and best practices.
2. Data Retention Periods
We retain personal data for different periods depending on the nature and purpose of the processing. Generally, we retain data for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
3. Categories of Data and Retention Periods
- Customer Data: Personal data related to purchases and services will be retained for a period of 7 years for tax and accounting purposes.
- Account Data: Information related to user accounts, such as login credentials and profile information, will be retained for as long as the account is active and up to 2 years after account closure.
- Marketing Data: Data collected for marketing purposes, such as email addresses and consent records, will be retained for 2 years from the date of the last interaction.
- Support Data: Customer service communications and related data will be retained for 3 years from the date of the last interaction.
