See what everyone’s saying about our Get Hired sessions.
I could not recommend the team at GradSoc enough. The advice and expertise of this passionate group is absolutely second to none.
– thomas, modern history, Uni of east anglia
although it sounds obvious, I’d never thought of my CV and cover letter as an advert for myself, so it was great to get some genuine feedback and pointers for improvements.
– Matt, Biology, Uni of leeds
As a student, you can often be hesitant in paying for extra courses online.
However, from the gleaming reviews I was not disappointed with my session with George!
– Ollie, product design, bangor university
I just want to say thank you so much for your help and advise on constructing a cv and portfolio.
I would really recommend having a chat with george as you truly don’t get taught any of this in uni 🙂
–Madeleine, industrial design, loughborough uni
Unfortunately graduating in the middle of a global pandemic doesn’t make getting a job easier and regular Cvs aren’t making you stand out.
Huge thankyou to george for explaining everything in detail and filling me with confidence to succeed.
– Alex, digital marketing, Uni of plymouth
I feel more optimistic and able to bounce back and maintain motivation when looking for future roles now.
George made me realise what employers do and don’t want to see on a CV.
Overall the experience was fantastic, and I would 100% recommend the grad soc’s services to all of my friends.
– issy, biomedicine, Lancaster university
it was definitely a really eye opening opportunity to talk with george in detail and learn how to think about job hunting in a completely different way.
– anna, mech eng, Uni of birmingham
For graduates wanting to secure work like me, I would highly recommend the Grad Soc as the first place to seek professional advice on how to enhance your CV and cover letter in these highly competitive times.
– lara, political theory, Uni of sheffield
The chat we had about LinkedIn was especially helpful. I’ve grown my network a lot since we spoke, I’m now posting near regularly and it’s been great to see how people and employers are interacting with my posts.
– sophie, business management, Uni of liverpool
George really gave me an insight into the creative ways in which you can tailor your CV to employers than can make you stand out from thousands of other applicants.
I have felt more confident and motivated when applying for Grad jobs and would definitely recommend this to any students in need of help !
– melaine, social science, Uni of brighton
The web seminar I had with George was very informative, a lot of information about tips and tricks for my CV was extremely helpful.
I highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a little extra help to stand out!
– thane, business management, Uni of westminster
and a few more… (connect with them and ask for yourself – dare ya)
George Biddle - our Founder
During his time at Leeds University, George spent a year living and working in Munich at Investment Bank Goldman Sachs, where (luckily) he discovered finance wasn’t going to get him out of bed in the morning.
After exploring roughly 1 million different jobs and sending off nearly 5 million grad scheme applications (probably accurate), George had a ‘fuck it’ moment and founded the Grad Soc.
He’s always open to helping and working with students and young entrepreneurs, so don’t be afraid to connect and ask for help.
